  • Anyone who frequently visits Gp’s, specialists, hospitals. Adults and children need separate files as they have different medical records.

  • WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS
  • Helps in medical emergencies with potentially lifesaving illnesses e.g. chronic illnesses like diabetes, drug allergy information etc. Helps save costs by availing records of previous tests and procedures done thus avoiding repetition. It ties up your different medical records at different doctors’ rooms, emergency rooms, specialists’ rooms into one universal record thus allowing good continuity of care and hence quality of care.

  • HOW DO I CREATE A FILE
  • Pay your subscription through ecocash merchant or Pay Now and get your membership PIN code. Use your PIN code to enter into your file and immediately start creating your file.

  • HOW DO I UPLOAD MY DATA
  • Do it by yourself or soon after a consultation ask your Doctor or Nurse for your card to enter notes written. Med Files is accompanied by a physical clinic record book which you can give your Doctor for note writing. It is easier to upload data retrieved from this book while you are at home.Hand writing challenges can be assisted by clinic nurse.

  • HOW DOES MY DOCTOR OR STAFF AT ANY EMERGENCY ROOM ACCESS MY FILES
  • Registered Doctors can login on MedFiles. They will need your PIN number to access your file. In the event of a serious emergency or lost PIN code a special request can be made to MedFiles administration nurse. Alternately you can show your Doctor your files on your phone.

  • IS THERE A MOBILE APP FOR MEDFILES
  • Yes. Download free on google store for android phones.

  • CAN I VIEW MY RELATIVES’ FILES?
  • No.You need their consent first.

  • CAN I VIEW MY CHILD’S FILE
  • Yes as long as they are under 18 years you as a parent have access to their PIN codes so you can access their records at any time. At age 18 and above a person may change their PIN code.

  • CAN I EDIT MY FILES
  • Yes.

  • CAN I DEACTIVATE MY FILES
  • Yes

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A PIN CODE
  • Sent to you on email or phone within 24 hours.

  • HOW MUCH IS SUBSCRIPTION FEES
  • $3 Paid quarterly or $12 paid yearly for each member.

  • DO YOU HAVE A PHARMACY, CLINICS OR MEDICAL SHOP
  • No we work with any pharmacy or service provider that agrees to our working terms and conditions.

  • DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION FOR DRUGS
  • The pharmacist at the pharmacy of your convenience will need one for prescription drugs. Over the counter products will not need prescriptions.

  • CAN I PAY ONLINE FOR DRUGS OR MEDICALS
  • Yes you can with certain pharmacies only. You can use Pay Now or Ecocash

  • CAN I HAVE MY DRUGS DELIVERED
  • Yes but in liason with Pharmacist or shop owner for over the counter products. Delivery comes at an extra cost.
